Louisville CyberKnife Accredited by the American College of Radiology

Louisville CyberKnife is proud to be accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 36,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.  Being accreditation by the ACR is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging.

The center was surveyed and accredited by the ACR Committee on Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation for August 20, 2014 through August 31, 2017.  The Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation Program provides third-party, impartial peer review and evaluation of patient care, with evaluation of staff, equipment, treatment planning and records, patient safety and quality control activities.

When you choose an ACR-accredited facility, you know that:

– Your hospital, clinic or health center has voluntarily gone through a rigorous review process to be sure it meets nationally-accepted standards

– The personnel are well qualified, through education and certification, to perform and interpret your medical images and administer your radiation therapy treatments

– The equipment is appropriate for the test or treatment you will receive, and the facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines

Louisville CyberKnife is honored to achieve this prestigious designation and we want to thank and congratulate our dedicated staff and physicians on a job well done!
