The Movember Movement and Prostate Cancer Awareness

Movember is the month-long annual fundraising campaign for men’s health lead by The Movember Foundation, a leading global organization whose mission is to raise awareness for male health issues including prostate cancer.

The foundation challenges men across the globe to put away their razors for 30 days and grow moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. Participants are encouraged to join fundraising teams, host and attend Movember events and use their newly grown moustaches to spark conversations about the cause.

The world’s largest non-government funder of prostate cancer research and services, The Movember Foundation provides funding to a variety of health programs including biomedical, translational, clinical, health services, care and education initiatives.

To date, the foundation has raised $559 million and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries.
